Product Description
2.5 metre diameter and 1.8 metre high (approx), Salix Viminalis, Willow.
Kit provided Includes - 73 x 3.0m Willow Rods, 8 x Willow Pegs to hold down membrane, 2.5m square of woven membrane, Small centre peg used to draw circle, and about 200 jute ties and 200 cable ties.
Comes complete with detailed instructions along with photographs of each contruction stage.

Fabulous service and produce

We ordered our willow whips towards the end of the season as a last-minute decision to add a willow dome to our garden, but knew that we were pushing it fine to get it into the ground before budding, especially as we were under the impression that shipping could take a week or so from the date of our order. However, the service from Yorkshire Willow was incredible, so our order was dispatched within 24 hours and was with us within 48 hours. We were so impressed!! The willow was in great shape; no damage to the whips and all packaged well. The instructions for building the den were perfectly clear, so we had great fun building the den with our 7 year old son that week.
A couple of months on, and our den is now greening up well. We've enjoyed watching the shoots grow and we're starting to enjoy sitting under cover. We look forward to watching the den mature further over the next year or two, and we look forward to years of fun in the den!
Small note: We added an extra door to the den design when we built ours, so we used the spare whips to build a little arbour in the corner of our garden to cover a bench. This is looking fabulous, too!
We would highly recommend Yorkshire Willow for their incredibly efficient service, fair price, high quality willow whips, and clear installation instructions. We can't find a single fault! Truly brilliant.

Evolving playhouse

It arrived carefully packaged and was left in my safe place. I split the plastic at the bottom and left it overnight in a bucket of water until I was ready to plant.
I built it alone (2.5m willow dome) which took several hours over a weekend but not impossible for a 5ft 5 person (though it was a bit of a stretch tying the whips above my head!). The instructions were comprehensive and we are delighted with the result. It's still fairly bare (after two weeks in the soil) but buds are beginning to form.
Would highly recommend.

Pleased with Our Dome

i ordered the 2m dome, it arrived pretty quickly. I wasn't sure what to do with the twigs once they arrived, as I couldn't plant them for a few days. I stuck them in a bucket of water. The instructions provided with the kit were easy to understand and to follow. Of course the tricky bits came when we tried it ourselves. It took some time to make the holes in the ground to get the twigs in (pebblebed ground), and it was impossible in the initial stages to tie the twigs together without two pairs of hands. Overall, it took 3 sessions to make as we didn't have an entire day to make it. We are, however, very pleased with the end result and it started sprouting new leaves withing a few days. 2 m is fine for 2-3 kids, but if you intend to have more than that number using the dome, go for a bigger size.
