Rich yellow to red rods giving excellent winter colour. Can grow to 7m, very attractive, yellow-red annual growth, with the colour improving the more pruning is done. Full sun to light shade, ample water, tolerates a wide range of soil and conditions. Of all the many types of Salix alba, this is one of the best for winter colour. Great ornamental willow.
All our products come with full planting instructions.

I bought cuttings of seven different willows from Yorkshire Willow. They arrived promptly and well packaged. They were also a generous size. I potted them up and five of them came in to leaf relatively quickly and are doing well. However the leaves of this salix only appeared recently ie some months after planting up. So be patient and give it time, not something you think will be needed with willow. I am interested to see how it grows on

Out of 120 cuttings (12 varieties), all but one are growing lustily, even though we had no rain for six weeks in April and May. A success rate of over 99% is excellent, in my view, and a testament to the high quality of your material.

Scarlet willows x 10 received promptly. I chose to plant directly in mainly boggy ground. 9 are doing fine. 1 failed (drier ground). So pretty good considering the drought this spring. Paul Garland

I’ve ordered from Yorkshire Willow over a number of years now and have never been disappointed with their offerings. These Scarlet Willow cuttings are excellent - fresh and of good proportions. Almost guaranteed to root, as they invariably always do! Many thanks Yorkshire Willow.

Arrived in good condition. Have put them in , which was easy to push into ground buds facing upwards . Will have to see when spring comes if they have taken .
