Very Fast growing yellow/green variety, long shoots but lower number of shoots than other varieties. Hardy vigorous variety, producing long straight stems with growth up to 4m a year from established root base, similar to varieities traditionally used to make baskets for fishing and agriculture. Other uses include living structures, furniture, drawing charcoal, wind-breaks, soil stabilisation, waste filtration, and fuel. The stems or Rods are very tough and flexible, ideal for construction of living willow structures. Happy in full sun or part shade and thrives on regular watering. It will tolerate a wide variety of soil types.
Typcially plant 2m apart for fuel prouction. Coppice on 3 year cycle for wood chip, and 5 year for logs. For best results plant cuttings through a permeable membrane.

I recieved lots of good advice on the phone and the order came really quickly.

Received several hundred of these stems less than two weeks ago and having to keep them in water till they can be planted, I am very pleased to see at least half of them already coming into leaf. Hopefully they will continue growing as strongly once they're in the ground. I am also very impressed with the customer service and the speed of delivery. Thanks very much.

excellent quick service, arrived in just a couple of days, good communication, they look very healthy, only thing I would say is the pointed end is not always the correct way up, I have just taken a minute to sort by the buds which way up to plant. will report back in a couple of months on progress, but they appear to be very healthy. :)would recommend.

I only bought one cutting of this Willow, partly due to its reputation for being monumentally vigorous, and partly because I'm a risky cheapskate. Lo and behold, it's growing well, and slower than expected, so I've lowered the shields, at least for this week. Happy with my Tora twig, thankyou.

Hard to review growing material so early, a few are not growing but many seem to be growing well, lets hope they keep up the vigorous growth idea!

Good quality biomass cuttings delivered when available and with good instructions for planting, good communications with seller. Will continue to purchase from Yorkshire Willow.

Smaller than I expected, but still, massive potential if this performs as well here as it is known to elsewhere.
Great value for money
